Stainless Steel HERMS Coil 25′ x 1/2″ OD with Weldless Bulkhead

The HERMS Coil is used for recirculating the mash and maintaining temperature. Install the HERMS coil into a hot liquor tank (HLT) and gently heat the wort in the mash by pumping it through the herms coil. The water in the HLT is heated and maintained, at, or slightly above the desired mash temp. The wort goes through the coil, and returns to the mash tun at the desired temperature. This type of set-up eliminates scorching and large temperature swings, while also reducing the amount of stratification within the mash. Easy step-mashing and improved efficiency. Thermometers and/or temperature control devices are highly recommended.
