Triple Scale Hydrometer

Our glass triple scale hydrometer can be used for reading specific gravity, potential alcohol and BRIX/Balling. The colour scale allows for ease of reading, with accurate results. It can be used in home beer brewing, wine-making and even making juice. Comes in a round plastic protective case. Every home brewer has broken a few of these in their day, so please handle with proper care once removed.

Testing Procedure:

• Draw off a test sample of liquid into your Hydrometer Test Jar
• Gently lower the hydrometer into the liquid until it floats freely
• Spin the hydrometer to eliminate false readings caused by air bubbles clinging to the side
• Take a reading when the hydrometer stops moving, and is not in contact with the side or bottom
• The number read at the top of the liquid is the density (gravity)
