Goldsteam is extra proud to offer this outstanding recipe from Brent Mills of Four Winds Brewing Co., because the brewery just happens to be located in the community where I grew up. This award-winning IPA is a bitter beer made for the sweetest coast, the West Coast IPA hits all the major-key notes of citrus and flower, but finishes with a mellowing, hoppy flourish. Smooth and spirited at the same time? Only on the West Coast is this possible. This amazing beer is one of multiple award-winning offerings from Canada’s Brewery of the Year in 2015 and producer of the 2016 Beer of the Year.

Wow. I love these kits! This IPA had many hop additions, and they are all clearly marked. Overall the directions are easy to follow and the beers have turned out great!
I made my first starter with this kit, and at the beginning of fermentation I blew out my airlock and had to set up a blowoff tube. The beer fermented well, I use a temp controller to keep it where it needs to be. It was a very clean light colour, and tasted very good. I finished the whole 4 oz I pulled to test and am really looking forward to see what dry hopping and carbonation do.
This was my third brew, all from goldsteam, and I have had some serious compliments about the beer from everyone I have had taste it. Most of these people have little, or a negative experience with homebrew, and are big into the local craft scene. These beers are turning out better then some of our standby beer favourites, and I can’t believe I’m doing it. The quality of ingredients and directions that work, really make the homebrew as awesome to drink as the benefits of the cost savings!

This is a great kit. Similar to other customers, this was my first time making a yeast starter. I too blew out the airlock. I quickly installed a hose that fed into a jar of sanitizer and water and was off to the races. Great hop taste and aroma. If you want a hoppy beer, this kit is for you. As with all other kits I have purchased, it was delivered fast, the instructions were great, and the beer I produced was delicious.
