This is our first beer kit we tried at Goldsteam, kegged it today. Purchased another because it tastes so good.
    Now for the nitty gritty.
My absolute favorite beer is red ale. Rickards Red turned me on to it 20 years ago and it is always my go to beer.
I wish I could add pictures, this beer looked like a dark ale in the fermenter but in the glass it was a dark amber.
The taste is a spot on Irish Red Ale. After my wife and I kegged and forced carbonated it we were blown away by the flavor, color, and spot on Irish Red ale. This isn’t your typical homebrew Twang. Our first brew turned out to be fantastic.

If you think customer service is dead then you haven’t met Jason at Goldsteam… he was awesome at answering my dumb a$$ newbie questions and helping me create an awesome beer straight out of the gate.

The beer is very rich, with a great thick mouth feel, malty flavor, enough bitter to keep it interesting. Both my wife and I give this beer 2 rock solid thumbs up!!!

We just finished purchasing our 3rd and 4th kit from Goldsteam. We will review them as they finish up and are in the glass. 🙂

I have used this kit several times and every time the beer turned out great. I have used this kit alone to make an outstanding Irish Red Ale, but have also used it with 1/2 bottle of apricot flavouring (also purchased here) to make a great apricot ale. As with all extract ale kits, the instructions are easy to follow and you will have great tasting beer within a couple of weeks. The red colour of this beer is perfect.
