Wort Oxygenation Kit with Regulator

Oxygenate your wort like the pros using pure oxygen. This kit is for use with the disposable O2 tanks found at local hardware stores. To use, attach the regulator to the disposable O2 tank, open the valve to start the flow of oxygen, and insert the wand into your wort to pump in thousands of microscopic oxygen bubbles for 1-2 minutes to improve the health of your yeast. Healthy yeast produce amazing flavours and have the stamina to completely finish fermentation. Be careful not to handle the stone with your fingers as oils may clog the pores of the stone.

Sintered diffusion stones are made of tightly compressed stainless steel powder to create a porous block through which oxygen can flow. This micro maze is also the perfect environment for bacteria to live in after the stone has been used once in wort. After aerating the wort, you can either insert the wand into Star San solution with O2 turned on, or remove the stone via the 1/4″ flared fitting and boil it before your next brew day.

The advantage of using compressed oxygen to oxygenate is speed – you can oxygenate your wort in a couple minutes as opposed to 30-120 minutes with aeration. The 2 micron stone has the advantage of being less prone to clogging due to its larger pores. We recommend 2 minutes of oxygenation with a 2 micron stone (for mid to low gravity wort).

The kit comes complete with an adjustable brass oxygen regulator, a 24″ stainless steel 2 micron oxygen wand, a sanitary inline air filter, 4 ft of 1/4″ braided tubing and hose clamps.
